We booked the MIRA MOON HOTEL, STARWOOD property, which is walking distance to the convention center. The rooms are well appointed with great detailing, but small. The view of Hong Kong was spectacular. We enjoyed the free wifi, complementary water and bath towels. The in room coffee was an added plus.
I am obsessed with the new Gucci collection so a quick walk to Times Square Hong Kong lead me to a limited edition headband made only for the Hong Kong market.
On our way there, we stumbled up the Picasso and Jacqueline Exhibition which was only on display in Feb - Mar 2017.
The Picasso and Jacqueline Exhibition is a stand alone stage in the Living Room Museum of Times Square, Causeway Bay from 26th February to 21st March 2017. The exhibition is now showing 13 pieces of artwork that Picasso, dedicated to his last wife Jacqueline. These art pieces are being exhibited outside Spain for the first time.
One night we planned an outing on a trip to Sneaker Street.. known as the best place in Asia to for Adidas and Stan Smiths.
We also walked through the famous Ladies Market filled with Chachke including phone covers, droid, and a huge range of fake bags (which we DID NOT BUY!)
Hong Kong is know for its food and did not disappoint.
We were told Fujiyama GoGo was the best place for Ramon and it lived up to its reputation. We sat on bar stools outside the restaurant drinking beer, talking to the shop owners nearby about their special herbs.
You cant go to Hong Kong without eating crab. This locals spot happened to be at the end of the street where we were staying...Under the Bridge Spicy Crab. Noticing we were the only round eyes in the restaurant, we knew the food was going to be good.
The most spectacular view in all of Hong Kong was the Alto Bar & Grill Private Room Overlooking the Harbor. Perched on the 31st floor of the stunning V Point Tower in Causeway Bay, ALTO, with its breathtaking views of Hong Kong from their private room we dined on their classic grill menu with a modern twist.
The least appealing meal was chicken feet served in a local bar/restaurant near Sneaker Street and Lady Market. I decided not to eat and just to enjoy a beer. Rob and Keith were much more adventuresome.
