Custom Painted Handbag Collaboration with The Vintage Contessa & Artist Hanh Tran

Inspired by the rose of Dolce and Gabbana, the Camilla of Chanel and the white flowers by Andy Warhol, together Hanh Tran & I created what we call, the Contessa flower. It is not identified as a specific flower, but yet a cross between a few.

My history with artist Hanh Tran dates back several years, when we met during charity events for iWrite. She was custom painting bags and donating them to charities when I first noticed her unique signature style.

Fast forward a few years, I wrote my children’s book, “THE VINTAGE CONTESSA & PRINCESSA” with founder of iWrite and publisher Melissa Williams, now Melissa Murphy. Hanh and I reconnected with similar charity interests.

Recently, after speaking with Debbie Pakzaban, I reached out to Hanh Gallery to design a floral arrangement for a Christmas gift for our former office manager of 25 years, Alma Wofford. Hanh personally designed and delivered the most amazing artistic arrangement, including champagne and luxurious style.

Coincidentally,  I was in search of an artist to commission the design of a pop art piece inspired by an Audrey Hepburn painting, yet also commemorating my 50th birthday event for KNOWAutism. Hanh’s style of layering paint was the perfect touch to create a collaborative piece incorporating pages from my children’s book, vintage Italian post cards with words, and quotes or statements from friends describing me in their own words. The amazing piece is featured on the walls of my office for all our clients and friends to see.

At Vintage Contessa & Times Past, we sell one of a kind, vintage, luxury handbags, luggage and accessories, and custom painting each with your monogram, initials or personally inspired work of art is an even more significant way to make your style stand out in a crowd.

Our first event at Baccarat in mid April featured a range of colorful letters for monograms or words available in a few different text styles.  When it comes to designs, however; your imagination is the only limit.

Our next event is with Macaron by Patisse in anticipation of Mother’s Day. We will be posting new artistic hand painted bag designs on our Instagram feed and on our website at thevintagecontessa.com.

You can purchase or bag or we are happy to paint on a bag of your choice.
