The Vintage Contessa & Times Past is unique, personally purchasing every item that we then offer to our customers. This means that each and every piece is not only rigorously inspected by our team of experienced specialists before we purchase it, but also that it is housed in our showroom, until it comes to live with you.
Other websites can work on a consignment model, which means that they may not have seen the items they are selling, instead the items are shipped directly to you by a dealer who could be anywhere in the world. This means that authenticity checks are not as thorough and that items can be in poor condition with misleading photographs.
We are proud to unconditionally stand by both the authenticity and the quality of everything in our collection. Every piece you buy will come to you in the condition described on the website, and with our authenticity guarantee enclosed in the package.
Rob Chramosta buys and sells a tremendous range of watches. WIth the recent sale of the Paul Newman Daytona, there has been growth in attention to the sport watchcategory, increasing demand, sending prices souring.

Additionally the Chramostas inventory includes Cartier, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Chopard, Panerai, and more.
WATCH WARRANTY and MAINTENANCE
Vintage Contessa & Times Past offers a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase.
In regards to maintenance, it is recommended that when your Rolex watch begins to lose or gain more than 5 minutes a day it is time for a Clean, Oil, and Adjust service.
Although occasionally new Rolex watches are waterproof, it is best to presume most watches are NOT waterproof. It is recommended to wash your hands but it is not recommended to swim or shower or go in a hot tub wearing your watch.
If the crown is closed, water should not penetrate a waterproof watch, however it is not recommend you swim, shower or go in a hot tub with your watch. Most if not all Vintage watches are NOT WATERPROOF. If watch stopped working- in 9 out of 10 times it is the mainspring that needs to be replaced.
Serial numbers in vintage watches are located at 6 o’clock on the case of the watch New are located engraved inside the bezel at 6 o’clock
The model number location for old and new models are located at 12 o’clock on on the case of the watch.
The production dates of most Rolex could be identified by the serial number
The serial number is traditionally located at 6 o'clock between the lugs and under the bracelet. In 2005, Rolex began engraving the serial number on the rehaut (French for 'flange') between the dial and the crystal as well as the 6' o'clock location. Starting in 2008, Rolex stopped engraving the serial number at the case 6 o'clock location, using only the rehaut location. By 2010 this practice had gradually transitioned to all models.
