Weight Inspection
A key indicator of a genuine Rolex is its weight. Authentic Rolex watches are crafted with high-quality metals, giving them a substantial feel. In contrast, counterfeit Rolex watches often feel lighter, as they lack these premium materials.
Identifying the Crown Logos
The distinctive Rolex crown logo is a crucial authenticity marker. On a real Rolex, this logo is perfectly centered at the top of the watch face. Additionally, a tiny crown is subtly etched at 6 o’clock, requiring a magnifying glass. This detail is often omitted in fake versions due to its intricacy.
Case Back Examination
Inspect the case back of the Rolex. Authentic models typically feature a smooth, solid metal back without engravings or etchings. Fakes may include these or a clear case back to showcase the internal mechanism, but real Rolexes never have a see-through back.
