Shopping and Style Tips for Après-ski
This Spring Break, after hitting the slopes, and in-between Après-ski cocktails, shopping the cobblestone heated streets of Vail Village will offer a little something for everyone in the family.
First stop, Due Luca Bruno and a visit with proprietor Jen Bruno. Her international selection of classic yet stylish pieces draws a wide range of well traveled visiting clients and locals alike. With brands including Missoni, Les Copains, Herve Leger, Jen’s selection of styles, along with the price point, will fit any stylish woman on the go.
Stepping out across the street to Masters Gallery opens a world of eclectic international and domestic artists appealing to young and old alike.
The Vintage Princessa was inspired by pop artist DeVon’s depiction of fashion style icon, Marilyn Monroe.
Onward to Luca Bruno at Solaris, showing exclusive fashions found nowhere else in the United States.
The children’s Moncler collection included a perfectly fab-fitting size 10, meeting three of the Princessa’s requests including a hood, bling, and fur.
The men’s department showcased a mix of Men’s Psycho Bunny line including a hipster T-shirt as an easy base layer under a private label Italian made Luca Bruno Jacket, finishing the look with a grey Moncler men’s hat.
Moving around the village path we approached FRINJE, the second-generation double-decade store with roots in the Vail Valley. It’s always a mother-daughter stop for us with their on-trend hip fashions catering to moms on the go, teens, and children.
Their labels range from nationally known favorites to new trendsetters. FRINJE embraced as many “pay it forward” companies, each with their own unique story.
The Vintage Princessa picked up a Girls Sweatshirt with the with the slogan “My Vacation Home is a Castle,” with her coordinating ginger man leggings and Pom Pom puffy turquoise hat. I left wishing they made the sweatshirts for moms too.
Gorsuch is the perfect spot for a trip gift for yourself or the ones you left behind. They are known as the premiere Ski Clothing store in the Vail Valley for over fifty years. But I believe their gift selections rival any luxury store I have shopped in my travels around the world. These are a few of my favorite things.

When packing for your trip, consider including a piece of each of the following:
TEXTURE, JUXTAPOSITION, BLING, POP OF COLOR & A FAB BAG.
Even the guys should include TEXTURE in their street style, especially in winter.
A knit hat, shearling suede jacket, blue jeans, and shearling boots are a balanced mix of texture for the mountain man out hanging out après ski. Adding the LV Damier Manbag gives the city boy edge for a visit to the art gallery.
Normally one doesn’t think of ski wear and Chanel, but when you transition from the slopes to après ski, the two are a great JUXTAPOSITION.
With an intent of a casual après ski look, styling jeans, shearling boots, Oil Derek 14k Gold Cuff Links & Gold GMT Rootbeer Rolex watch are an upscale yet casual look.
My Due Luca Bruno bright turquoise blue wrap is the perfect POP OF COLOR transition piece for Spring.
I just love shooting our blogs with The Princessa, my “mini me”, filled with every bit of passion and zest for life imaginable. With that, however, comes very clear opinions about each photo shoot and HER style. In case you were wondering, let me clarify, she has differing opinions than mine.
Specifically, in this shoot, she was very troubled by wearing the “gold” chain of her black messenger Chanel across her “silver” vest.
I explained, “It’s perfectly appropriate to mix metals on occasion, specifically when traveling and accessories are limited.”
Rob’s Louis Vuitton Damier Book Bag Manbag is a luxurious addition to his casual yet chic après ski street style.
What will you wear this Spring Break? Don’t forget GREEN for St. Patricks Day, this Thursday, March 17th.
And watch out for a SPECIAL SALE happening from Thursday through the weekend on all GREEN bags!
